”Football in bronze”

A memorial plaque near the place where SvFF (Swdish football society) was founded in 1904. The bronze memorial has been designed by artist Annie Winblad-Jakubowski. The plaque itself has the same proportions as a football field, and the ball is cast in bronze after an old fine model with lacing. However, the original place where SvFF was founded, the royal gymnastic central institute's premises in the corner Hamngatan/Beridarebansgatan, is not there, which is why the memorial has been placed on the facade of the house closest, which is the fifth high-rise, Sergels Torg 12 in central Stockholm.
